Will the ecobee Smart Thermostat Enhanced work with the Amazon Echo Dot (5th Gen)?
Yes, with conditions. Works, but it also needs Thermostat C-wire (24VAC common wire).
Both records are reviewed against the manufacturers' sources; sources last checked 2026-10-14. Informational only: confirm with the manufacturer before buying.
Why
- ✓ Both use Amazon Alexa.
Conditions
- Thermostat C-wire (24VAC common wire): Needs another device that provides Thermostat C-wire (24VAC common wire).
Good to know
- Only some Echo models include Zigbee or Thread radios; Wi-Fi/cloud 'skill' devices work with any Echo.
- It also relies on Thermostat C-wire (24VAC common wire), which this device doesn't provide. You may need another device in the home that does.
