Where our data comes from
Every answer says which kind of source it rests on. In order of strength: the manufacturer's own confirmation, specs we checked against a specific manufacturer page on a recorded date, certification and government registries, and finally AI readings of a manufacturer page, which are always labelled unreviewed.

Certification and government registries
Used when a product isn't in our catalog. A registry record tells us what the certifier recorded for that model number; answers that rely on one say so and carry certification_registry evidence.

Sources we don't use without permission
Some certification databases (Wi-Fi Alliance, Bluetooth SIG, Thread Group, Apple MFi) don't allow automated or commercial reuse, and others (Qi wireless charging, USB-IF) don't say. We ask first and only list them here once they agree.
