Will the ecobee Smart Thermostat Enhanced work with the Google Nest Hub Max?
Yes, with conditions. Works, but it also needs Thermostat C-wire (24VAC common wire).
Both records are reviewed against the manufacturers' sources; sources last checked 2026-10-14. Informational only: confirm with the manufacturer before buying.
Why
- ✓ Both use Google Home.
Conditions
- Thermostat C-wire (24VAC common wire): Needs another device that provides Thermostat C-wire (24VAC common wire).
Good to know
- Google hubs do not include Zigbee radios; Zigbee devices need their own bridge.
- Matter-over-Thread devices need a Google Thread border router: Nest Hub (2nd gen), Nest Hub Max, Nest Wifi Pro, Google TV Streamer (4K) or Google Home Speaker (2026).
- It also relies on Thermostat C-wire (24VAC common wire), which this device doesn't provide. You may need another device in the home that does.
