Why

  • ✓ Both use NACS / SAE J3400 charge connector (Tesla-style).

Good to know

  • Native NACS-port vehicles (all Teslas, 2025 IONIQ 5, and new NACS-equipped models) do not need an adapter at Tesla Superchargers.
  • To use a J1772 Level 2 station, a NACS-port car needs a J1772 adapter. Tesla's SAE J1772 Charging Adapter supports up to 19.2 kW and is included with every new Tesla.
  • To use a CCS1 DC fast charger, a NACS-port car needs a CCS1 DC adapter: Tesla's CCS Combo 1 Adapter (up to 250 kW; not compatible with Cybertruck; some vehicles need a retrofit) or the vehicle maker's own adapter (Hyundai sells 2025 IONIQ 5 models with a CCS adapter).
  • Tesla warns that using an AC adapter at a Supercharger may damage your vehicle.
  • Safety: this checks the tire size only. Load index, speed rating and the vehicle maker's approved sizes for your trim (door-jamb placard) must also match; have tires fitted by a professional.
